Exhibition: Johannesburg Architecture and History April – June 2010
One more month for viewing this colection
Where: Foyer of the Archives, Institutional Repository and Special Collections Department, Level 6, Library and Information Centre, APK
Buildings are not just examples of architecture to be judged from an aesthetic and structural perspective. They are places in and around which history occurs – the large, significant and earth-shattering as well as the small, mundane and insignificant events.
Students needing information on Johannesburg’s history and architecture can come and see the many resources available to them on display. The G-M van der Waal Collection of Johannesburg postcards, photographs etc., some of which are also on display, is an essential resource for anyone needing authoritative information on Johannesburg’s historical buildings.
